Privacy Policy

Who we are

Scholar Ridgeis an online learning platform for grades K–6. Accounts are created and managed by a parent, guardian, or teacher (“you”). Children do not create their own accounts and do not log in directly.

What we collect

  • Account info: the adult's name and email address.
  • Student profiles you create: a display name, grade level, and U.S. state.
  • Learning data: lesson progress, quiz and placement results, XP, streaks, and earned rewards.

We do not ask children for personal contact information, and we do not knowingly collect more than is needed to run the school.

How we use it

To deliver lessons matched to each student's level, track progress, show parents and teachers their students' results, run the rewards system, and improve our content and platform. We do notuse children's data for behavioral advertising.

We never sell or share children's data

We do not sell, rent, or share your child's personal information with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example, our database host) under agreements that limit their use to providing the service. Lesson generation uses only the topic, grade, and standards — never a child's personal information.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Because students are managed under an adult's account, we collect children's information with the involvement and consent of their parent, guardian, or teacher. As the account holder, you can:
  • Review the information associated with your students;
  • Request a copy of it or ask us to correct it;
  • Delete a student profile and its data at any time;
  • Withdraw consent and close your account.

Data retention & deletion

We keep data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete a student profile or close your account, we delete or de-identify the associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with the law.

Security

Data is stored with encryption in transit and at rest, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your family's information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify account holders.
